I keep getting a warning message that the Windows Search Indexer has stopped. When I follow the link to the MS support website, it recommends a Hotfix, and references KB952093: 'Windows Search Indexer crashes on a Windows Vista-based Tablet PC that has Outlook installed'. It also warns: 'Installing the incorrect hotfix can cause damage to your system.'
Has anyone else encountered this? It is safe to use the hotfix? Do I need to bother at all?
I have Vista Home Premium 2007. I have a desktop PC with a Wacom graphics tablet.

Do you have Vista service pack 2 installed? The fix is included in SP2.
