Hatfield and McCoy?
No connection with the British road sign seen on the northern outskirts of London?

A small accolade for anyone who spots the flaw in the sign...

According to this article, it may have been:
"A source tell 9News that police are investigating the possibility that someone trying to
steal copper pipes may be responsible."

You mean they weren't doing roadworks at the time that required you to SPOILER:drive round the roundabout the wrong way?

The gap in the circle is in the wrong place for those of us who drive on the left.

Yes, you're both right, of course. The graphic appears to come from the Netherlands, even though it refers to a British band (and the eponymously famous road sign).

I'm glad then that I (so far) have not had the experience of driving in England. I would have known nothing about the meaning of the road sign. What does this one tell me?

PS Hard to believe but I never had ANY trouble understanding the road signs on "the continent."

(Obviously not one in the UK, Ireland, Malta, Cyprus or Hong Kong (amongst others))

That sign tells you that unlike ALL the other roundabouts in Britain, you go round that one the wrong way.

All you need to know about roundabouts...
When I was learning to drive (in my 40s -- long story) I had to resist the temptation to go round the multiple roundabouts (scroll down the page...) in a figure of eight maneouver

I've been a passenger, and lived, but was sure glad I wasn't driving!

Your link leads to an article featuring this sign:

so it's worth pointing out that here in the UK, we also use illuminated traffic signals in our towns. The signpost above shows you would turn right to get to the famous Marlborough Lights....
