Pivot Table Assistance

I'm having a challenge with Pivot Tables. I'm not as well versed as I should be but am slowly learning their benefits.

I have source data that I would like to create a Pivot similar to this from a data set but am not sure how. If a single User were selected than only the records with a "Y" would be displayed.

Report 1 N N N Y
Report 3 Y N N N

Your source data are not in a proper database-like format, and the "pivot table" is just the source data with rows and columns transposed.

A pivot table doesn't display text data, it always displays summary data: a sum, count, min, max, ...

Perhaps AutoFilter would be more suitable for your purpose.
