In Excel 2007 (although sure it works in others too) the page layout is set to automatic width and height.
All is well when the workbook is opened and the page views fine with no page breaks visible.
As soon as the page is print peviewed then the auto page breaks appear on the sheet.

Is there any way of removing them from view without closing and reopening the workbook?

    Thanks
    Alan

This happens in all versions of Excel - as soon as you print or print preview a worksheet, page breaks are displayed.

You can hide page breaks in Normal view:
    - Click the Office button.
    - Select Excel Options.
    - Click Advanced.
    - Clear the 'Show page breaks' check box under Display options for this worksheet.
    - Click OK.
