I had to reinstall outlook 2007. After installation outlook downloaded almost 1000 email messages. Is there a setting in outlook to delete messages off the server after downloading?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Are you really running Exchange Server at home? If you are using Exchange Server and you do NOT have a PST your email will stay on the server.

Although this article is named the opposite of what you're asking, it does show how to get to the settings you need: Leave e-mail messages on your e-mail server - Outlook - Microsoft Office Online. Click Show All near the title of the article to make it a bit easier to browse. Edit: That article is for Outlook 2003. Not sure where they moved the settings in 2007, but the same concepts should apply.
