    ACCESS 2000 Chart Wizard (9.0.3821/ SR-1)

I have used the Chart Wizard to create a bar chart based on data from a query. The query prompts the user to filter the data on two fields of data to limit the results of the query to one row of data. However, there are approximately 30 different query responses (or 30 bar charts to be created) based on user input.

Can the chart be linked to two pull down menus, one for each filter, such that as the user changes the data in either the pull down menu, the query is modified and the bar chart changes as well?
    Regards,

If the chart is based on a parameter query, it will already be different each time the user enters a different parameter. Isn't that what you're trying to do, or did I misunderstand? Are you trying to create all 30 bar charts in the *same* report, one right after another?

I am not trying to create all 30 bar charts in the same report, one right after another. The chart that is produced is based upon the parameters selected by the user. Thus, the parameter query, as suggested should work. (I forgot about using that.) I will give this a try and post the results. Thanks for the suggestion.

The parameter query worked, however, it is not exacatly what I intended. Is there a way to use two pull down menus on a form that are always visible such that as the data in the pull down menus are changed, the graphs change as well?

just set the query feeding the chart to use the pull down menu as the criteria for the query

What do you mean by "pull down menus"? You can't add menus to forms in Access, only in VB. Are you talking about comboboxes?

... any suggestions. I do not seem to be able to get the query feeding the chart to use the pull down menu as the criteria for the query.

Please excuse my terminology. You are correct in your reference to comboboxes. What I am trying to accomplish is to use comboboxes to drive the query that creates the barchart, however, I can't get the query to link to the comboboxes properly.

Thanks for the suggestions and help. I have been able to figure out how to link the combo boxes to drive the graph as required.
