    E37 contains 50 F37 contains 100 result should be 75 I get blank cell

are the parameters to IFERROR supposed to go that way round - shouldn't it be calculation first, followed by "" to replace possible errors?

    The syntax for IFERROR is

    =IFERROR(expression, value_if_error)

It will return the value of expression unless expression returns an error, then it will return value_if_error.

You use "" as expression; this will obviously never return an error, so the formula will always return "", and P37/COUNTIF($D$37:$O$37,">0") will be ignored completely.

    Try

    =IFERROR(P37/COUNTIF($D$37:$O$37,">0"),"")

    as suggested by Jeremy.

Thank you Hans for the precise explanation and apologies to Jeremy
