    TransferDatabase

    I have a form that will have a button for one user at each of 70 school sites to click in order to copy eight tables in their database to a central network site for administrative use. The name of the database they copy to will be the same as the name of their school which is using the SchoolName field on their open form named frmRediiMain.

    I have created the following code for the first table and evidently I am not referencing the table correctly in the code because I am getting an error message that an object is required.

    Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Private Sub TransData_Click()
    Dim stTblName As String
    Dim stSchName As String

    stTblName = RediiMain!tblDefs!tblPeople
    stSchName = Forms!frmRediiMain!SchoolName

    DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport, "Microsoft Access", _
    stTblName, acTable, "N:datafileRediiMain", _ "G:Redii" & stSchName

    End Sub

    Re: TransferDatabase

    I failed to mention in my previous post that I am using Access 2000 and Windows 98.

    Hi Judy,

    Try tacking ".MDB" onto the Source and Destination arguments.
