    Hello,

I have a protected MS Word 2007 template that I am developing, and I was wondering if it is possible to setup the headers and footers with Text Form Fields?

I have a blue bar graphic in both the header and footer (page 2 on) and I would like these Text Form Fields to sit on top of the background graphics.

Please see attachment to get a better idea on this request.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

Users can't open the header or footer in a document protected for forms, so you can't use form fields there.

As a workaround, you can place form fields in the body of the document, and use REF fields in the header/footer to refer to the bookmarks associated with the form fields.

Or use VBA code to unprotect the document, modify the header/footer and protect the document again.
