Hello does anyone know how to set a default keyboard different from the default language? For example if English is the default language and there are English and Japanese keyboards have the Japanese keyboard coming up as default, or vice-versa? I know one can toggle quickly between keyboards by pressing the left alt key and shift but it would be good to avoid this over and over again as Windows has a habit of switching back to the default keyboard.

    Thanks,

    Chris (Hunt)

Apparently the method of setting the default keyboard described in MSKB: 138354 applies/works in XP.

Thanks for the suggestion, Leif. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
