I regularly serve as editor/compiler for a PPT presentation. Various contributors update the previous month's version, send their input to me and I assemble into the master version. Most of the slides are text boxes.

I have terrible trouble each month with the formatting in the text boxes (paragraph spacing, text alignment, etc) jumping around. All contributors start with a common template that has the text boxes properly formatted. When I get their input back the formatting is random.

Suggestions on making the formatting stick the way I want it?

    thanks

Does it help if you reapply the slide layout to individual slides, or the template to the entire presentation?

2007 relies heavily on the default local printer driver for layout. (yes it's crazy)

Make sure they and you have a default local driver.
