In the earlier version one could got to "Help, About? and it would tell you the status of the installed version. This is where one could see what SP has been installed.

In 2007, how does one do this?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

In a "ribbonized" app go to Office orb | app-name Options | Resources | About app-name. In Outlook it is still Help | About.

    Click the Office button.
Click Word Options if you're in Word, Excel Options if you're in Excel etc.
Click Resources in the left hand pane.
You'll see the version here, but you can click About for more info.
