A brief I've been working on has gotten out of hand and its size is becoming an issue. How can I split the file without loosing any data. They will not be merged later on. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!!

The obvious solution is to simply make a copy of the file and then delete the first half of one copy and the second half of the other.

Depending on how many sections you have, and whether these have different headers and footers, and whether you use page numbers or cross references, you may have to resolve a number of different issues, but it is hard to know what these are without knowing a bit more about your document.
