    I know this is a bit of a stretch for this forum, but I thought I would give it a try.

    My neighbor next door has a camera memory card (probable a SD - not sure) that looks like it is corrupted.
    They pulled it while it was downloading and now it as if you want to format the card when inserted.

    Does anyone know of a possible recovery program that might salvage most of the pictures on the card.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Not such a stretch. Take a look at this Google search for free options. If the pictures are "critical" then you might want to consider a piad version of this type of software, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

    I have had good success with reclaiming deleted/damaged images and corrupt cards with Lexar's Image Rescue 2 and 3 software. It was pre-loaded s/w on Lexar SD Pro cards. Worth a try.
