    I receieved and e-mail with an attachment. The file is call Advise.pps. How can I change the extension to PPT? I can open see see the presentation as a PPS but I would like to convert it into PPT extension so I can make some changes.

    Just change the filename in Windows Explorer!

    Exactly as Stuart as said but to do it 'in situ'right click choose 'rename' change the S of PPS to T

    What the others said will work just fine but it will no longer work with the new 2007 files.

    I would instead right click the icon > NEW

    This will open a copy as a ppt and allow changes
