I need to sum a column and divide that sum by 9/11ths. How do I do that in Excel 2003?

The other guys have shown you the method of decimalising the fraction but you can do it by formatting the particular cell as a Fraction and select Up to two digits (21/25)

You can create the formula as:

    =sum(D15)/(9/11)

    where 9/11 is your fraction

Please note that the formula provided by Jerry =sum(D15)/(9/11) is correct; the two previous posts from Nathan and Stans multiplied the sum by 9/11.
