Disabling the Task Pane (Word 2002)

Is there any way to permanently disable the Task Pane on the right-hand side from coming up every time I open Word? It's driving me crazy!! <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23> I thought I saw a post about this some months back, but I couldn't find it.

Clear the check mark at the bottom of the Task Pane near "Show at startup"
