    hi everyone;
    please see attached spreadsheet.
    in cell a65 I would like to get the total number of cells or larger than 1
    in cell a66 I would like to get the total number of cells smaller than 1
    one of the first ideas coming to my mind was to put a filter, and get a sum function at each of the cells, then copying and pasting value in the sum cell (freezing it).
    from the examples and help previously received from this site, i kind of believe that there MUST be a function (or combination of some) that does the job, in a simpler way.
    any help or suggestion regarding the functions i should learn / combine will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks in advance

    hi,
    it's me again.
    one other approach i came with was "to set a counter" every time value was larger or smaller than one.
    i am attaching new spreadsheet with this attempt.
    nevertheless, my original question still holds;
    is it there another way using predetermined excel functions?
    thanks again.

    If the requirement is as simple as you mentioned, then you can easily get the results using "Countif". Pl see the attached.
