I am running Windows XP, I cant seem to get any help files to work, and random other things are happening. All do to this Microsoft service pack which put data execution prevention on my computer. Is there any way to disable it or delete it all together?

How can you tell it's due to DEP?

Background info: A detailed description of the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and Windows Server 2003

The above article says you can manage DEP using Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Data Execution Prevention tab.
