    Loungers,

I have a fairly large important spreadsheet that has been working very well, until recently.

Sometimes (actually most times) on saving, I get an error that says "Excel has encountered an problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Anyone have any idea what may cause this and if I can do anything to fix the problem.

Sounds like the file has acquired some form of corruption. Check the options on my page on that subject: www.jkp-ads.com/articles/corruptfiles.asp

I encountered the same problem in a huge database in excel 2003 with external links. On saving all files as Workspace solved the problem.
