I am trying to help out someone here... they adapted Northwind to do a shirt purchase db. on the Orders/Order Subform, when they select the "Color" listbox a parameter prompt keeps appearing asking for the current ProductID. He has to type in the product number to get the set of colors specific to a shirt selection.

Another thing that happens, is when a new row is added to the subform, no matter what new shirt is selected, the previous selected product ID "sticks" and only the filtered color selections from the first selection appear.

I don't know if this is enough info, but then again I don't know Northwind that well, so here's hoping someone is aware of this "issue".

    TIA!

You don't mention the version of Access they're using. In the Access 2003 or earlier versions of the Northwind database, there is no color list box, so we'd have to know how they implemented it. I don't know about Access 2007.

I can't see anything about Colors in the 2007 Northwind either.

I wonder if the problem is that you have ProductID rather than Product ID. The Order Details table in my copy of Northwind has a Product ID field.
