Is there a way to put fill-in fields in Excel, like you can in Word?

I would like to have a fill-in box pop-up and have the person put in their name, etc.
Is there a way to do this in Excel?

There is no direct equivalent for fill-in fields in Excel

    Some alternatives:
    - You can add a comment with instructions to a cell.
    - You can set up validation (see for example Setting up data validation in Excel 2007), leave Allow set to All values, but enter instructions in the Input Message tab.

It's also possible to use VBA to display an input box or userform, but that seems overkill.

Thanks Hans - I'll have to come up with something else.
