    Hi,

I have a couple of Wordpress Blogs and I want to export from the ones hosted at Wordpress and import to ones hosted on my own webspace.

I have surfed around and there is, apparently some way to do it but I can't find it so anyone got any idea how?

    Hi Joe,

Not sure! I will try winSCP and 2Bright as they appear to be external to the blog but the other solutions, as far as I can tell, are for backing up *proper* WP blogs (installed on your own site) and that isn't something I've got ... yet. It's irritating but not critical because I've not been that active as a blogger so even though the blog is a good few years old I have less than 50 posts and very few comments.

Hopefully my new blog on my own space will have a back up solution.

I will try the WinSCP/2bright ones tonight.

I think you will need a plugin or two for that. There tend to be different ones for the database content (actual posts and pages) and the folder content (e.g., theme files and uploads, including images). I'm very new to it, so I back up the folders by FTP and the database using phpMyAdmin. Once I start generating "real" content I'll have to go find a good plugin.
