I apologize if I am using the incorrect forum for this question.

I am running Windows 7 on my PC. I have MS Word & Adobe PDF pinned to the Taskbar and, for a couple of weeks now, their respective icons have been "replaced" with a kind of generic ones. In the beginning I thought it was a glitch that Microsoft would solve with an Update. Then I started to Google for solutions that might be out there. Nothing helped. You guys always deliver but I try not to occupy you unless it is something extreme. Any guidance on how to solve this is appreciated. Thanks!!!

I moved your question to the Beta Software forum, since Windows 7 hasn't been officially released yet.

Do these icons when clicked open the correct program?

You might delete them (Right click and select unpin) and add new ones.

    Thanks, Hans.

Dave ... yes to your first question. Unpining and Pinning back makes no difference.

On the other hand, Hans made me think that it might have something to do with being a beta release. I'll worry again if and when I have the final version. Thanks!!!

I did NOT have this issue with any legal copy of Beta Windows 7 and now NOT with RTM.
