I have a few documents which need converting from Works 7 to Word 2003.

I have installed the Microsoft conversion software (a Word add-on) which works fine - except that in some (but not all) of the Works documents embedded photographs are lost in the conversion process.

The same happens if I "save as" from Works to Word (Word 6.0/95 is the option) or if I "save as" in rtf format or anything else.

In the end I could copy the photographs themselves and past them back into the text on Word but this will be a tedious task which I'd like to avoid if possible.

    Grateful for any ideas.

    Martin

Well, it was impossible to "import" the files, but the answer was staring me in the face - I selected the text and graphics in Works, copied, and pasted into Word. A bit of formatting to re-do, but the graphics (the hard part to do 'manually') transferred without a glitch. Phew !
