    Hello -

When clicking on Word Help, Avast in Systray goes to work (spins). Is this supposed to happen with a Help file? Is so, I might try to put Help in exclude listů.

    Thanks.

I don't think it would be wise to put help in the exclude list. It might be possible for a specially crafted corrupt help file to inject code via a buffer overflow in the windows help system.

In mid-2001 I made a list of all the file extensions whose corresponding files would be checked by the antivirus programs of the day, and for help files the results were:
CHM - checked by Microsoft and Sophos
HLP - checked by Microsoft, Network Associates and Sophos

The other AV suppliers were Norton and Symantec (then different firms).
