    Wink

    Hi there

I want to send a hyperlink to a document to someone and they have a different drive mapped to the same server.

I once found some code on the lounge which inserts the full name and path of a file (document or spreadsheet) including the servername.

By server name I mean, \\servername\path\filename.doc.

I can't seem to find it now and was wondering if someone can help point me to it?

    Thank you
    Marie-Therese

The Lounge search doesn't like short strings like UNC, unfortunately. Try these:

    Old thread: [topic="188162"]Retrieving folder's path (WinNT4, Word97) (VB / VBA)[/topic]

"Retired" MSKB article: Sample Code to Return the UNC Path of a Network Drive (MSKB 160529)
