    Talking

Im using a Word 2007 drop down form field within a table that is populated with 25 different comments each comment when selected will add a different fill color for that particular selection along with the comment (conditional formatting). My question is, is it possible to view in the drop down selection as it would appear once selected, So that the viewer will see the fill color with selected comment before making any selection. I hope I explained that OK.

It's certainly not possible in the legacy formfield dropdown, but I don't think it's possible in the dropdown from the new content controls either. Coloring items in a dropdown list requires advanced programming techniques and those aren't available for formfields or content controls.
