I am trying to (re) install the IntelliType software in Windows 7. It is ITPx86_1033_7.00.260.0.

It's installed before (same version of Windows), but was acting funny so I wanted to re-install it. It uninstalled, but then when it started installing I got the error below.

What is this? I haven't seen this before. How can I fix this?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Dave, it says the installer is forbidden by system policY.

How could that happen, and more importantly, how do I fix it?

It says to contact the system Admin -- who might that be on a standalone machine, and me having supervisor rights?

    Chuck

It may be a silly question, but are there any features in Intellitype 7 that you actually need, above the native support for keyboards/mice in Windows 7?

    Batcher:

In good part, perhaps not. I am, however, used to the ability to assign the buttons to functions, and I'm using a Microsoft Laser Keyboard 6000 2.0.
