This issue may end up killing a whole side-project...

I am trying to automate archiving of Access db's to SQL Server, and one of the things that is required for this to work is to have the Access db's security set to allow SQL Server to have Read & Execute permissions to the target db:

When I copy the access db using FileCopy (or just control-c/v in Explorer) the permissions for the server no longer appear.

So, can this be set in code?

Al alternative might be to zip/password protect the access dbs or place them in some folder with restricted access. or i could throw up my hands and just fill some directory with the archived dbs in their natural, naked glory...[attachment=86101:Permissions.gif]

If you're willing to wade through a lot of Windows API code: NTFS Permissions.
