I've setup some vary basic global code in a new modal simply to standardise form navigation and closing. I've tried to add the code name to an On Click event of a command button on a form but I can't move the cursor out of the field. The process is one I've used without trouble in earlier versions. I've setup the module and function as I've always done in earlier versions.

Specifically, on the button's On Click event, I typed "=CloseForm()" but that's as far as I can get. Access won't let me move the cursor out of the field or save the form with the changes.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks

Try putting a stop on the code in your function. This might give you a clue as to what is happening. Gut feeling is that there is a messagebox open but hiding behind something.

    I use docmd.close acform, me.name
