    Hello,
I had this pop up on my computer this morning

    [attachment=86118:Capture.JPG]

I haven't heard anything about it from Woody or on any of the forums.
Being the suspicious sort, I wondered if anyone has come across is and knows if it's legit.

There is no 'cancel' option, either I install it or choose 'later' where it sits in my tray and waits...

    Thanks

    Thanks guys..
I clicked on the update icon, and it said that it was no longer available and then disappeared.
    ?

I tried updating through the Java console in control panel and that said there was nothing available. I have update 15 apparently.

Guess I'll wait for the next one

    Thank you for your reples

When I click on Update Now in Control Panel -> Java -> Updates tab it tells me that "Java 6 Update 15 is available"...
Presumably they've pulled Update 16 for the moment.

And my console says I have update 15. Maybe a good thing I held off?
    Thanks BATcher

If you have update 15, you don't need 16. According to Java SE 6 Update 16 Release Notes:
    Bug Fixes
This feature release does not contain any new fixes for security vulnerabilities to its previous release, Java SE 6 Update 15. Users who have Java SE 6 Update 15 have the latest security fixes and do not need to upgrade to this release to be current on security fixes.
I have Java 6 Update 15 on my PC and if I click "Update now" in the Java control panel, it tells me that I have the latest version.

I had the same popup this AM and updated without a hitch at 10:20 AM EDT. I am showing Update 16 as the version installed.

    That's what mine tells me!
I should have gone over to Sun to check it out.. I'm still learning my way around this stuff!
    Thank you Hans.

I moved this to Other Applications so it might be easier for others to find.
