Before I installed Windows 7 I carefully exported all my .psts to a safe place. Windows 7 installed very smoothly and outlook 2007 reinstalled very smoothly; it even found my email settings all by itself almost. But when I tried to import my old email it told me I wasn't allowed to do that. Please tell me what to do.
    Thanks

Are you using File > Import to import from the PST, or are you opening the old PST as an additional data file?

One common problem is for the PST to become marked read-only at the file level, e.g., if you burned it to optical media and then copied it to the new hard drive.
