When entering a function, Excel kindly displays a prompt for the user's guidance

Can someone point me towards guidance on providing this sort of prompt for a UDF?

I don't think that is possible (but I'll happily let someone prove me wrong!)

You can, however, provide a description for a user-defined function and its argument(s) that will be displayed in the Function Wizard. See Register UDFs on Jan Karel Pieterse's website.
