Firefox 3.5.4, a security and stability update, has been released. For those who have stayed with Firefox 3, Mozilla have also released Firefox 3.0.15

For more information on these releases see:
    Firefox 3.5.4 Release Notes
    Firefox 3.0.15 Release Notes

The updates will also be available via Firefox's built-in update system.

    Hello,

I just tried upgrading Firefox from version 3.0.15 to 3.5.4. When I started it ProcessGuard informs me that it is trying to install a driver/service. I've not seen this with other Firefox upgrades. Is this expected? I downloaded the exe file from the Official Mozilla site.

    Thanks,

    Chris (Hunt)

This also was reported on the Mozilla Support forums -- Each time Firefox tries to install driver/service, allow? -- but no one replied.

Does ProcessGuard supply any other information, such as a file name or path to an executable? It's difficult to research what is happening otherwise. I suppose one could use a registry monitor to watch for the setting...

Thanks for the reply - no, no path or information about the file name/path is given which is suspicious as ProcessGuard usually gives this information.
