    Highlighting Text (Word 2000 sr1)

Is there any way to access the Highlight format other than on the toolbar button? Is Highlighting on a menu?

It isn't on any menu by default, but you can put it wherever you want. <img src=/S/cool.gif border=0 alt=cool width=15 height=15>

Open Tools/Customize, on the Commands tab. Select the All Commands category, and scroll the Commands list to find "Highlight". Drag it to any menu (Format seems to be a reasonable choice) and drop it where you want it in the dropdown.

It operates in the menu pretty much the same way as in the toolbar -- click it to apply the most recently selected color, or click and hold to get the flyout palette of colors.

Thanks for your reply. Our firm removed the toolbar button and I was wondering if the command existed anywhere else. I thought I was missing something, but whaddaya know...
