Don't see how to adjust the time settings beyond the one that insicates the time zone. Have it set to USA Eastern time without DST checked but it shows it to be 4 hours ahead of the actual time. ( shows 4:25 Pm but it its actually 12:25 PM ) ????

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

Additionally, is there any time format localisation possible?

    "HansV, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 04:08 PM ..."

should really read in the UK, and no doubt elsewhere,

"HansV, on Saturday 31st October 2009, 16:08 ..." (with the st,nd,rd,th superscript format being optional...)

Bob: the time currently displayed ignores the time zone setting in your profile - it shows GMT.

(with some sneaky editing of the time in the quote, to see what happens...)

Right BUT if you open the drop down box it shows GMT MINUS 5 hours, so the GMT should be corrected to show the proper time. 5 hours plus DST. Which has not yet been changed until tonight here in the USA.

If you could change that to:

    A G and T
    would be fine for me
you would probably find your poetry a lot more popular.
