Does this currently do anything other than to give an error message?

If it was working, what would one expect it to do?

The purpose of "Follow this forum" is to add the current forum to the list of "followed forums" in Settings > Forums > Manage followed forums.

In the previous version, this was "Forum subscriptions". If a forum is already part of your "followed forums", clicking "Follow this forum" will result in an error.

Similar for "Follow this thread" when you're looking at a thread.

Ah, I now see why I got the error message, since I had selected a number of forums on the previous version of the Lounge! Those whose identity has been changed only minimally will have been carried over, one presumes.

    Thanks!
