I am converting an Excel workbook to Access 2003. When importing the data into new tables Access sets up a format of @ on all the text fields. In every table one of these fields lands up as the primary key. What I have discovered is that the use of the @ prevents the field from displaying in a combo box. I am curious as to why this is so. Any ideas?

Do you have Access 2003 SP3? There were problems with combo boxes not displaying data in this version; they have been fixed in the Access 2003 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package: December 18, 2007.
