Netscape & Windows Script Host

Win98 SE, AMD-K6-2
Netscape 4.76

I just installed Windows Script Host run-time update. Now Netscape crashes any time I open a new window (new URL, Messenger, anything).

Tried reinstalling Netscape. Tried to uninstall the update. No luck.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

You might try downloading this utility, which will give you a 'picture' of your files as they run. You may be able to identify the culprit there, and delete it.

The reason I suggest this, Removing an update doesn't necessarily delete all the files, not to mention the fact that the update may have modified your registry to cause these errors... that util is the first step i'd take.

Hope this helps!

Hi Drk:
I tried downloading the utility, but I get a message 404, server not found. I can reach download.com, which is your link, but then the download link doesn't work. Any ideas where I can get it?

Thanks.

Hi, Phil.

By choosing "Publisher's Site" from the Download.Com page, it took me to Sysinternals where I located the Filemon utility page. Download links are at the bottom of the page. If your desired link is down, the author's mail links are at the top of the page.
