    Report Sort Order (A2K SR-1)

I have a report, based on a query, that contains sequentially numbered purchase order line items (i.e., starting at 1 and increasing through however many line items on the order). The query returns the line items in the correct sort order (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.). However, the report does not (2, 1, 4, 3, etc.) and I can find no particular pattern for how the line items are being ordered in the report. Is this a bug in Access or, more likely, something I'm doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

No, you haven't done anything wrong. Access reports totally ignore any ORDER BY clauses in your queries. With the report in Design Mode, you need to click the "Sorting and Grouping" button on your toolbar. This controls how the Report will sequence.
