I've noticed that each time I visit the Lounge (which isn't necessarily every day), I have to sign in again. Since I allow cookies on my machine, shouldn't I stay signed in?

The problem may be that you have bookmarked http://wopr.com, but clicking the "Sign In" link redirects you to pages on http://www.wopr.com. The Lounge is theoretically be configured to write cookies that work on either domain, but it doesn't appear to work as expected.

If this is indeed the problem, it will be resolved after 2:00PM today, when the Lounge is migrated to lounge.windowssecrets.com.

I have a recollection that with IP.B the cookie 'life' is limited - possibly for security reasons. I thought it was around 10-14 days, but could be less, but the bottom line would be that you would be forced to sign in if you had been off-line for x hours or days.

I can confirm that, Leif, although I've never tried to watch for how long the period is...

Inspecting the cookies saved on my machine, it appears even a "remember me" session expires after one week.

I did have to sign in today after the migration took place. I haven't had to on this machine for a little while.

When IPB3 was first implemented, I had to sign in multiple times a day.

That was to be expected - you had a wopr.com cookie but not yet a lounge.windowssecrets.com cookie.

I couldn't sign in today! I had to get a password reset...
