The problem may be that you have bookmarked http://wopr.com, but clicking the "Sign In" link redirects you to pages on http://www.wopr.com. The Lounge is theoretically be configured to write cookies that work on either domain, but it doesn't appear to work as expected.
If this is indeed the problem, it will be resolved after 2:00PM today, when the Lounge is migrated to lounge.windowssecrets.com.
I can confirm that, Leif, although I've never tried to watch for how long the period is...
Inspecting the cookies saved on my machine, it appears even a "remember me" session expires after one week.
