    Hi

    Can anyone tell me how to remove my desktop theme and just have plain colour background?

    According to Windows7Update.com, the setting is accessible from the Control Panel, or by right-clicking on the desktop itself.

    Yessir, Leif is right. Right-click the desktop, choose Personalize and in the lower left corner of the resulting screen is a selection for desktop background. Clicking that should lead to this screen:

    Right click desktop > Personalize.

    Click "Desktop Background" (lower left of window).

    In "Picture Location" select "Solid Colors".

    I think you can figure out the rest...
