I've been trying to install an AUTOCAD software in my XP but it keeps aborting half way thru with the following alert:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\curr entversion\run\optionalcomponents\MSFS...can't find info or invalid. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Kind of hard to tell from your brief description.

Autocad progs usually take up LOTS of resources. memory and need a good fast processor.
What are some of the specs for your system?
Have you compared them with the programs system requirements?
    What OS are you running?
    How old is your system?
Have you checked in the Administrative folder> System Events, to see if any problems are red flagged?
Have you checked with the software authors website to see if they have any suggestions or if any other users have had the same problem?
What IS the name of the particular Autocad prog you are trying to use?
    BOB

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
