Your Favicon does not show when I make a shortcut to this forum on my desktop. Using SeaMonkey v2. Anyway to force it? or D/L the icon itself?

Once you put the shortcut on your desktop, open it with Internet explorer and this will resolve the issue.

Now there is something that I would really like to know how to do but do not think it possible. Any URL will open with my default browser.. short of changing my default browser, how can I open a URL in a different browser?

Drag and drop. Open any browser and drop the shortcut somewhere inside. Also if you have a shortcut icon for the browser you are trying to use, drop the website shortcut on the browser shortcut. I hope this helps.

As noted above, drag and drop is the easiest solution. "Hacking" around the default browser is hard work. See my earlier hacks in these posts:

Open shortcut in IE using "open with" when your default browser is Fx
Open shortcut in Fx using "open with" when your default browser is IE (see earlier post for background)
