In Windows XP here was a hack available (which involved hex-editing a few exe and dll files) to enable mirroring between dynamic disks.

Does anyone know of a similar hack for Windows 7?

    Thanks.

Why not enable RAID level 1 on a RAID capable motherboard or some exterior device? Is there an advantage to the hack you mentioned?

I have these TB disks with large files that creep me out being singular, I have thought of going RAID with a NAS device and mirroring (or Volume Shadowing as it was in the DEC VAX world) but the $$$ for the right device and disks needs to be accumulated.
