My motherboard provides an external (Esat) port and this can be enable via the BIOS. However apparently some driver is required to permit functioning. "JMicron ?? Help would be appreciated.

What is the EXACT make and model of your motherboard?
What operating system are you using?

With this information it should be possible to download the driver from the motherboard vendor's site.

I have been to this site several times but not sure which driver to download. My guess is to select the "other" category and download the JMicron(JMB36 etc) package. Is this correct?

You should seriously consider downloading and installing ALL the drivers from that site. You should back up your system first, or at least make sure that you have a good restore point.

Didn't you get a DVD with drivers with your motherboard?
