This looks like a good site for sharing information about a lot of Windows related subjects.

However, this has too much of a "social network" look to be in the middle of my comfort zone.
I will continue to be a member, but am looking for a way to use a screen name in place of my name and use an avatar instead of a picture of me in my profile.

If there are others that share my feelings, maybe a way to configure those choices upon joining would be appropriate.

    George,

If you want to change your user name, you have to contact an admin.

Go into your profile George and add an avatar image as your "headshot"
The headshot shows on posts instead of your profile photo.

    George,

You can upload any picture you want, it doesn't have to be a real photo.

There has been a recent change in the Lounge software and this has resulted in people having their real names displayed with all posts. I think this is a really bad idea, and I do hope that the administrators change it back as a result of all the feedback.

I am still waiting for them to give you the option to change your real name. I understand they are busy right now with the influx of registration.
