I have windows7 home premium. This same problem also occurred with Vista Ultimate which I had before I upgraded. When I exit to the log-in page, I will most of the time put my PC to sleep. Resumption from sleep has been much quicker with windows 7 but I still have the same occasional problem (probably about 1 in every 5-10 resumes) that I had in Vista. The PC will resume to the log-in page but the mouse will not be operational. I must then TAB using the keyboard to the sleep button, put the PC back to sleep, wake it up again, and, voila, the mouse works just fine. I should add that if I just log into windows in this mode the mouse will not work there either. I have a microsoft intellimouse optical ps/2 port mouse and am using the latest win7 intellipoint driver. Also should mention that I am using 64bit windows and have been for several years. Any ideas?
